ROLE

UX Designer

Designing flexible dashboards that help mining teams track their day and spot critical alerts

About the company

It's a confidential client under NDA, but the company was a custom software development firm specialized in data-science technologies. They built tailored applications for heavy-duty industries like mining, aerospace, and oil and gas. Their work was very much about turning complex operations into clear, data-driven tools that teams could actually use in their day to day

What did I do in this project?

I was brought in to shape a new product for mining teams: a tool where workers could check how their day was going, spot critical alerts, and take action before things got messy. On top of that, each user could build their own dashboard, so the experience needed to feel flexible but simple enough to use in the field.

My role was fully focused on UX. I started by running surveys with real users, digging into their routines and pain points, and turning all that feedback into structure. From there I created the sitemap, mapped every user flow, and designed all the wireframes the team needed. Once the foundations were ready, I ran asynchronous usability tests to uncover friction and make sure everything felt clear, fast, and intuitive.
